It is important to reiterate that COVID-19 is largely a mild infection like the common cold, and taking simple precautions to avoid catching or spreading a cold are the same you would take for this infection. It is of most concern for the elderly and/or people who are already unwell from another illness.
To practice good hygiene, staff, students and visitors are asked to sanitise their hands when arriving at the NTSDE building. Please use tissues when coughing or sneezing and regularly wash your hands. Please also avoid shaking hands when greeting someone.
All students and staff returning from:
- Mainland China
- South Korea
are required to monitor their health and self-isolate for 14 days from the date of their arrival into the Northern Territory.
