During Week 8 of Term 1, the first Stage 2 Online Intensive was held for the year. The focus of the online intensive is to provide longer sessions within which students have time to collaborate, work towards the completion of school assessed tasks and strengthen working relationships within the class community. Approximately 100 students participated in the online intensive sessions.

Teachers enjoyed the sessions, with one saying - "I really enjoyed working with students – I feel that I have a better relationship with those students now. The opportunity to try different pedagogy, group work, collaboration and use of various online interactives made the day a rewarding one for both teacher and students. Not quite “best day ever” but it was up there with some of the best".

All Stage 2 subjects were available through the intensive program with some unique opportunities such as students viewing a live stream from NASA and Questacon. This provided an insight into the Nhulunbuy Rocket Base which students will use to develop understandings for the Science as Human Endeavour task for their Stage 2 Scientific Studies.

Teachers are looking forward to the upcoming Year 10 and Stage 1 Intensive commencing on Wednesday, May 11th through to Friday, May 20th.
