Enrolment

Student Eligibility

NT students may be unable to easily access schooling where they live for a range reasons. Reasons can include the distance between where a student lives and their nearest school, as well as their ability to access a school due to transport, weather, or environmental conditions. If you think that you may be in this situation, contact us to find out how we may be able to help you.

NT students can at times be travelling, or living interstate or overseas. If you are in this situation, contact us to find out how we may be able to help you.

NT students may have situations where they need to access Online Education. Reasons may include that their home school cannot
offer a certain subject or they may have a timetable clash. Students may study with NTSDE due to factors such as sporting or artistic commitments, medical conditions, learning needs. Contact us if you have any questions about how we may be able to assist with your education.

Aspiring students over the age of 18 years may be able to enrol at NTSDE. Conditions apply, including completing a criminal history check at your own cost, and meeting attendance minimums. If you are over the age of 18, contact us to find out how we may be able to help you.

Student enrolment arrangements are negotiated between the student’s home school coordinator and NTSDE’s coordinator.

To be eligible for dual enrolment the student must be enrolled in a NT or SA school that is not able to meet all of the course requirement needs of the student. Dual enrolments are actioned when:

  • specialist teachers and therefore specialist subjects are not available in their home school.
  • school timetabling constraints limit or prevent subject choice.
  • special circumstances apply

Student enrolment arrangements are negotiated between the home school and NTSDE principal or delegate.
